## Title: Communications Intern

Role Overview

The Communications Intern will support day-to-day communication activities under the guidance of the Communications Officer. This position offers hands-on learning in storytelling, photography, social media management, and donor visibility, while contributing to the organisation's regional communications outputs.

Working closely with programme teams, MEL/GIS officers, and country teams, the intern will help document field activities, support digital platforms, and assist in the preparation of communication materials. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft social media posts, captions, short articles, and field stories
  • Support content gathering from staff, partners, and field activities
  • Assist with managing social media platforms and tracking basic analytics
  • Capture and edit photos and short video clips for communication use
  • Support editing of basic multimedia content using tools such as Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Assist with documentation during workshops, meetings, and field missions
  • Support donor visibility through preparation and tracking of communication materials
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for communication-related activities

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field
  • At least six (6) months' practical experience in a similar role
  • Interest or experience in social media management and digital communications
  • Basic photography, videography, and content editing skills
  • Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
