## Title: Clinical Officer

About the Role

International Fellowship Kenya is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a qualified Clinical Officer to join our healthcare services in Nairobi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient consultations, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat common medical conditions and minor surgical procedures
  • Prescribe appropriate medication and therapies in accordance with established treatment guidelines
  • Request, interpret, and act upon diagnostic test and laboratory results
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Refer complex cases to specialist physicians or higher-level medical facilities where necessary
  • Maintain up-to-date medical records for all patients
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention and health promotion
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional ethics at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) or any other accredited institution
  • Valid practicing licence from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification clinic experience
