Cisco Network & Collaboration Engineer

About the Role

Computech Limited is seeking an experienced Cisco Network & Collaboration Engineer to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and supporting advanced Cisco networking and collaboration solutions in a dynamic IT environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deploy and support Cisco and Huawei LAN and WAN networks
• Deploy and support Cisco IP Telephony solutions
• Design, deploy, and manage Cisco collaboration solutions, including CUCM, CUC, UCCX, UCCE, Webex Calling, and Webex Contact Center
• Configure and troubleshoot SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SCCP protocols for voice and video communications
• Administer Cisco Contact Center solutions (UCCX/UCCE/PCCE/Webex Cloud Contact Centre), including scripting (Editor/AppAdmin), call routing, and reporting
• Integrate Cisco UC with third-party applications (CRM, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.)
• Implement and maintain Cisco gateways (CUBE, ISR, ASR), voice gateways, and session border controllers (SBCs)
• Troubleshoot QoS, latency, jitter, and packet loss issues in VoIP environments
• Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations for Cisco UC and Contact Center platforms
• Collaborate with network teams to ensure optimal performance of LAN/WAN for real-time communications
• Provide Level 2/3 support for complex UC and Contact Center issues
• Stay updated with Cisco's latest collaboration technologies including Webex, Cloud Calling, and AI-based contact centres

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology (preferred)
• Cisco certification (mandatory)
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP Routing and Switching, or CCNA/CCNP Collaboration certifications (preferred)

Required Experience

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Cisco UC & Contact Center solutions
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking infrastructure
• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN and MPLS
• Experience with Cisco Webex Calling and Cloud Collaboration
