Chief Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. - Our client is a medium-sized recycling manufacturing company chief accountant will oversee and manage all financial operations of our recycling and manufacturing company. He/she will be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in accounting, - Finance or a related field. - Cpa kenya certification. Strong understanding of financial regulations - And tax laws in kenya. - Proficiency in sage accounting software is an added advantage. - Excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills. Experience: - Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position within the recycling, manufacturing or related industry. - Kshs. 120,000 - 150,000 plus company benefits Main responsibilities - Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial records. - Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts and cash flow statements. - Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory regulations and financial reporting standards. - Coordinate internal and external audits. - Monitor and manage cost control, inventory accounting and financial analysis. - Support strategic decision-making through financial insights and reporting. - Lead and mentor the finance team. Implement and improve accounting systems and controls (experience with sage accounting software is a plus).
