## Title: Business Development Manager – Broker & Direct Sales

About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing business relationships with all intermediaries (brokers, independent agencies, and tied Liberty/Heritage agency force) and direct clients. The primary focus is to drive new business and retain existing accounts for group life and pension business in order to achieve group business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build sustainable relationships with all intermediaries and direct clients to drive new accounts and retain business
  • Develop sales budgets, marketing strategies, and implement long-term customer-centric sales plans for Group Life and Pension to ensure high business acquisition and retention
  • Monitor and prepare periodic reports on new business closed, renewals, and prospect progress for all intermediaries
  • Build and strengthen relationships among Group Life and Pension staff to facilitate and fast-track effective and efficient servicing of new and existing clients in line with Service Level Agreements
  • Understand client needs and drive cross-selling initiatives among Group Life and Pension clients to drive relevant product mix
  • Conduct continuous competitor analysis of the market and develop adaptive strategies to ensure responsiveness and gain competitive edge
  • Conduct continuous product training for all intermediaries to ensure product knowledge and professionalism are upheld and clients are advised appropriately to avoid misrepresentation
  • Ensure continuous compliance for all intermediaries in response to regulatory environment changes, including annual IRA renewals
  • Drive the intermediaries motivation agenda through the approved incentive programme to ensure continued support and enhanced relationships
  • Build detailed knowledge about the company's products and keep abreast of market conditions and developments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance or related field
