Business Development Executive, Nairobi

About the Role

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for executing effective and efficient agency operational performance in line with the Company's policies and practices that govern internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and monitor the performance of intermediaries in the branch in line with the Heritage sales strategy
• Obtain relevant details from intermediaries to enable provision of quotations
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through intermediaries to achieve the branch sales revenue budget
• Manage renewals and business retention
• Provide accurate and competitive quotations promptly to prospective clients and intermediaries
• Prepare and submit tender documents in a timely manner
• Provide required support to intermediaries, including training and licensing, to facilitate delivery against Heritage sales targets
• Conduct client meetings and run detailed illustrations to introduce new and existing general insurance products
• Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support achievement of sales targets
• Build detailed knowledge about the company's products and stay abreast of market conditions and developments
• Monitor premium collection and credit control in the branch to ensure full compliance with the Credit Control Policy
• Provide feedback on gaps in sales policies, procedures, and processes for the branch to operations to ensure appropriate interventions
• Establish and maintain good relationships and high public relations standards with intermediaries and clients, including regular visitations
• Prepare timely, accurate, and informative reports to management on distribution channel performance to facilitate decision-making
• Keep detailed and accurate records of policies underwritten and decisions made
• Ensure proper filing of client, intermediary, and agency information in both manual and electronic formats for easy retrieval
