About the Role
The Branch Manager will provide effective leadership and oversight of branch operations to ensure efficient service delivery, business growth, and regulatory compliance. This position will drive deposit mobilization, loan portfolio growth, member recruitment and retention, and increased uptake of ICT products, while maintaining asset quality, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring cost-effective branch performance in support of the Society's strategic objectives.
Reports to: Head of Operations and Customer Care
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth
- Grow customer base through consumer and business relationship development via internal and external marketing programs
- Maintain strong public relations with customers and the community
- Lead the branch team in achieving business growth targets in accordance with the Tai SACCO Strategic Plan
Financial Management
- Oversee budget planning and cost management
- Continuously evaluate branch financial performance against budgets and strategic plan, taking corrective action as needed
- Monitor loan portfolio quality daily and implement proactive remedial actions
- Prepare quarterly branch economic reports
- Ensure adequate portfolio balance
Branch Administration
- Manage daily branch operations competently
- Ensure compliance with all departmental and SACCO policies, procedures, and regulations
- Implement and maintain all internal control arrangements
- Comply with applicable regulatory frameworks governing the SACCO
Corporate Governance
- Monitor and ensure 100% compliance with all Tai SACCO and regulatory policies, processes, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure all branch licenses are renewed appropriately and properly displayed
