Biology & Chemistry Teacher

Makini School Kisumu is seeking a dynamic and experienced Biology & Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons in our new Senior School. The teachers will support curriculum implementation and should also be able to actively encourage and facilitate the formation of each student's moral character, unique skills, capacities and talents through continuous improvement in ensuring quality education. Key Qualifications and Experience Required - The ideal candidate should have at least 5 (five years) of teaching experience, 3 (three) of which must be in a recognized school, preferably implementing the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum at Junior School level. - Bachelor of Education (Science) with specialization in Biology & Chemistry from a recognized institution. - Overall KSCE Grade C+(plus) - C+(plus) in the two teaching subjects - C (plain) in English and Mathematics - Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Skills: , Knowledge, Abilities and Values - Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of current educational issues relating to the specialist subject areas - Strong leadership skills - Interpersonal skills - Embrace team spirit - Ability to work with a diverse student body - Self-driven - Be willing to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower students
