Assistant Regional Branch Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Regional Branch Manager to lead and manage the accounting function within our banking operations. The successful candidate will support the Regional Branch Manager and ensure that the financial reporting system is accurate, compliant with banking rules and regulations, and financial operations are properly managed. This role requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a deep understanding of the banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Branch Manager in executing business strategies and achieving branch performance targets
• Control the accounting process to maintain correct, comprehensive, and up-to-date financial statements within adopted accounting standards
• Prepare, review, and approve financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and other applicable reporting requirements
• Ensure strict compliance with Central Bank regulations, financial reporting requirements, taxation regulations, and all other relevant banking regulations
• Manage the general ledger, including examining accounting entries, provisions, accruals, and adjustments
• Monitor day-to-day accounting operations, including transaction processing, suspense account handling, and closing differences in account reconciliations
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning functions, and conduct in-depth variance analysis
• Provide comprehensive financial reporting and analysis to senior management to facilitate planning and decision-making
• Design and enforce effective internal control systems, accounting policies, and procedures to strengthen financial management processes
• Coordinate internal, external, and regulatory audits to ensure timely completion and follow-up on findings

Required Qualifications

• Strong leadership and technical accounting expertise
• Deep understanding of banking environment and operations
• Knowledge of IFRS standards and banking regulations
• Experience in financial reporting and compliance management
