Assistant Professor in Robotics and System Automation at United States International University - USIU Africa

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join the School of Science and Technology at USIU Africa. The successful candidate will report to the Dean and be expected to teach, conduct research, and engage in service performance across undergraduate and graduate levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in robotics and system automation
• Support and mentor students in their career endeavors
• Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure programs remain current and marketable
• Participate in program assessment and reviews
• Supervise students' research projects, thesis work, and dissertations at undergraduate and graduate levels
• Conduct research in robotics and system automation
• Engage in service to the University, the profession, and the community
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from an accredited university
• At least 3 years of teaching or research experience at the university level as a Lecturer or Research Fellow
• A minimum of 32 publication points as a Lecturer or Research Fellow according to CUE Standards & Guidelines 2014, of which at least 24 should be from refereed scholarly journals
• Supervised at least 4 postgraduate students to completion as Lecturer or Research Fellow
• Registration with the relevant professional body, where applicable
