## Title: Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering & Digital Electronics

Job Summary

USIU Africa seeks a dedicated Assistant Professor for the School of Science and Technology. The successful candidate will report to the Dean and be expected to teach, conduct research, and engage in service performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in electrical engineering and digital electronics
  • Support and mentor students in their career development
  • Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure programs remain current and marketable
  • Participate in program assessment and reviews
  • Supervise students' research projects, theses, and dissertations at undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Conduct research in your area of expertise
  • Provide service to the University, the profession, and the community
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from an accredited university
  • At least 3 years of teaching and/or research experience at the university level as a Lecturer or Research Fellow
  • Minimum of 32 publication points as a Lecturer/Research Fellow (per CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014), with at least 24 points from refereed scholarly journals
  • Supervised at least four (4) postgraduate students to completion as Lecturer/Research Fellow
  • Registration with the relevant professional body, where applicable
