Position Overview

Kenya Rural Roads Authority is recruiting qualified candidates to fill 5 posts for the position of Assistant Director (Roads).

Required Qualifications

Professional Experience

• Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years in relevant work experience
• Minimum three (3) years at the grade of Principal Engineer (Roads) or in a comparable position

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Master's Degree in one of the following disciplines:
  • Civil Engineering
  • Project Management
  • Construction Management
  • Public Policy
  • Public Administration
  • Business Administration
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Environmental Management

Professional Requirements

• Professional qualification and membership with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
• Valid Annual Practicing License from the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
• Membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK)
• Completion of a Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in computer applications
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
