Job Profile

The job holder is responsible for coordinating the conduct of various types of audits and reviews in accordance with International Standards for the professional practice of Internal Auditing. The role promotes efficiency and effectiveness of operations, ensures the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information, safeguards assets, and ensures adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, standards, and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operations of the audit section for effective service delivery
  • Coordinate development and implementation of internal audit section policies and procedures to achieve audit strategic objectives
  • Develop the audit section's risk-based work plan to ensure timelines are attained
  • Manage individual engagements from planning through follow-up by direct reports to enable seamless completion of activities
  • Coordinate implementation of the approved annual audit plan by developing individual assignment work plans and allocating activities to appropriate resources
  • Monitor execution of audit assignments and coordinate preparation of audit reports for presentation to management and the Board's Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee
  • Ensure implementation of arising recommendations
  • Coordinate the performance of investigations as necessary
  • Implement audit, risk management, and compliance plans as approved by the Board's Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee to achieve set targets
  • Assist in providing secretarial services to the Board's Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of twelve (12) years' relevant work experience, with at least three (3) years at the grade of Assistant Director or equivalent level
