## Title: Area Sales Manager - Fast-Moving Consumer Goods
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our sales operations and drive business growth in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sector.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and marketing expense controls
- Execute the sales plan and meet sales goals while setting individual sales targets with the sales team
- Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team and provide ongoing training
- Assist in recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives
- Develop new avenues of marketing and lead generation
- Equip the sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education
- Understand ideal customers and how they relate to our products
- Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with prospective consumers and related industries to strengthen partnerships
- Leverage existing networks and expand the company's product reach and repeat business through relationship building and exceptional customer experience
- Collaborate with the team to coordinate project implementation and customer service support, proactively addressing problems and customer issues to ensure satisfaction
- Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers
- Provide strategic reporting on all sales activities including sales and prospecting activities, sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Sales & Marketing or a related field from a reputable institution
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience handling Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
- At least 1 year's experience managing and directing a sales team
- Excellent spoken and written English communication with the highest standards of professionalism
- Proficiency in customer relationship management
- Fast learner with high levels of self-motivation
