Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the team in receivables and payables processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely processing of invoices, resolving supplier disputes, and contributing to overall financial accuracy and efficiency within the organization in the Nairobi office.
Key Responsibilities
- Record supplier invoices and manage cash collections
- Post daily petty cash transactions and assist with reconciliations
- Support monthly and quarterly financial reports and assist with audits
- Maintain organized financial records in compliance with organizational policies
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and engage in continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties or responsibilities reasonably aligned with skills, experience, and operational needs of the organization
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and/or CPA Intermediate level
- 1–2 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of financial regulations and proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Tourplan, ERP software) and MS Office
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
