An oil company recruits 01 Drilling Engineer

About the Position

An oil company based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire is recruiting a motivated Drilling Engineer to join their team.

Job Purpose

To develop well design and layout optimizing investments and applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection. To draft drilling plans and support their execution by providing engineering advice, and updating well design and execution plans when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and engineer drilling operations to achieve technical objectives in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner
• Prepare drilling programs including all information as specified in company procedures
• Prepare estimated cost breakdowns for wells to be drilled or worked over
• Recommend changes to drilling programs (when necessary) to improve drilling and completion methods, techniques, and speed
• Conduct special studies and reports on drilling and completion operations as required
• Provide digital data to follow up well operations and produce well profile printouts and overpressure studies
• Critically analyze data, detect anomalies, and propose corrective actions if needed
• Assist rigsite operations for specific jobs, including preparation and evaluation of tenders

Required Qualifications

• Engineering degree or high school diploma
• 3 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience with drilling engineering background
• Fluent knowledge of English
