An oil company recruits 01 Drilling Engineer

About the Position

An oil company is recruiting a motivated Drilling Engineer to join its team in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Job Purpose

To develop well design and layout optimizing investments while applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection. The successful candidate will draft drilling plans, support their execution by providing engineering advice, and update well design and execution plans as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and engineer drilling operations to achieve technical objectives in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner
• Prepare comprehensive drilling programs including all required information per Company procedures
• Prepare estimated cost breakdowns for wells to be drilled or worked over
• Recommend changes to drilling programs to improve drilling and completion methods, techniques, and speed
• Conduct special studies and reports on drilling and completion operations as required
• Provide digital data for well operations follow-up and produce well profile print-outs and overpressure studies
• Critically analyze data, detect anomalies, and propose corrective actions when needed
• Assist with rigsite operations for specific jobs, including preparation and evaluation of tenders

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Engineering degree or high school diploma
• 3 years of Oil & Gas industry experience with drilling engineering focus
• Fluent English proficiency
