Position Overview

Contract Type: Fixed-Term Employment Contract

Location: Abidjan or Jacqueville, Côte d'Ivoire

Purpose

The Senior Technical Lead provides overall technical leadership and strategic direction for Component 2 of the Adaptation Fund project "Improved Resilience of Coastal Communities in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana." The position ensures that Habitat for Humanity's climate adaptation interventions are coherent, technically sound, and fully aligned with project objectives, donor requirements, and HFHI standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, integration, and implementation of a broad portfolio of climate adaptation measures across 21 coastal communities
• Direct community-based early warning systems, preparedness and awareness activities, and capacity-building initiatives
• Lead implementation of green and blue infrastructure, nature-based solutions (NbS), and mangrove restoration projects
• Manage climate-resilient agriculture and livelihood programs
• Ensure technical harmonization of interventions across both countries and alignment with best practices
