Shift Engineer (Production)

About the Role

DANGOTE CEMENT COTE D'IVOIRE S.A is recruiting a Shift Engineer (Production) to manage and supervise the effective execution of all production activities during assigned shifts, ensuring seamless and efficient operations within the Production department.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the execution of DCCI's production plan
• Ensure all production equipment is operated in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
• Monitor control process units from clinker silo extraction to cement silo filling at Dangote Cement Plants
• Ensure raw materials (clay, laterite, and limestone) for cement production are properly crushed to achieve preset quality targets
• Supervise casual staff to ensure all conveyor belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming
• Ensure machine operators wear appropriate safety gear during operations
• Coordinate all production staff during respective shifts to ensure uninterrupted plant activities
• Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during respective shifts
• Prepare detailed shift reports for the Section Head, Crushing Operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Section Head, Crushing Operations

Education and Experience

• Engineer's degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

Required Skills and Competencies

• Working knowledge of cement production processes
• Good knowledge of product quality parameters and quality control
• Good knowledge of crushing operations, equipment, and their functions
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Strong supervisory skills
• Attention to detail
