About the Position

Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives is seeking a qualified Vice Rector, Community and Public Health to join its leadership team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape academic excellence and public health initiatives in Ghana.

Job Purpose

To assist the Rector in performing leadership functions and oversee academic and administrative activities of the Community and Public Health Division to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Rector in performing leadership functions and overseeing day-to-day academic and administrative activities of the Community and Public Health Division
• Develop and implement administrative and academic policies for the community and public health division
• Supervise and coordinate operational activities within the division
• Provide exemplary leadership to achieve division objectives
• Maintain and sustain academic and professional standards
• Provide direction in academic, research, and operational policies of the division
• Develop the capabilities, skills, and knowledge of staff within the division
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Rector

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Health or equivalent discipline
• Professional qualification as a Public Health Nurse, Community Health Nurse, or equivalent professional discipline
• Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in public service, with at least 7 years at senior management level
• Fellow of Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives (GCNM)

• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
