Vice Principal at St Teresa’s College of Education

About the Position

St Teresa's College of Education is seeking an experienced and distinguished educator to serve as Vice Principal. This is a full-time position based in Hohoe, Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal in overall management and administration of the college in accordance with the Colleges of Education Act 2012 (Act 847) and the Harmonized Conditions of Service for Colleges of Education
• Perform functions assigned by the Principal
• Act as Principal during the Principal's absence
• Execute any other legitimate roles and responsibilities assigned by the college

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Distinguished Master Teacher and scholar in Teaching and Learning
• Minimum rank of Principal Tutor
• Master's Degree with research component in a relevant area of specialization
• Doctoral Degree (PhD, Ed.D, or equivalent) in a relevant field is highly advantageous
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Senior Management position
• Strong knowledge and working experience within Ghana's Tertiary Education system
• Demonstrated excellence as a teacher with high personal integrity

Terms of Appointment

• Initial appointment term of 3 years
• Must be able to complete at least one full term before reaching the compulsory retirement age of 60 years
• Eligible for re-appointment for a maximum of one additional 3-year term, subject to satisfactory performance
• Terms and conditions determined by the College Governing Council in accordance with Harmonized Conditions of Service for Colleges of Education
