About the Role

The Vice-Chancellor serves as the academic and administrative head of the University and is accountable to the Governing Council. This is a full-time leadership position responsible for driving institutional excellence and strategic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Chief Disciplinary Officer with authority over all employees and the student body, subject to University Act and Statutes
• Promote quality higher education and research across the institution
• Provide comprehensive academic and administrative leadership
• Set and implement the University's strategic agenda and academic development initiatives
• Protect the integrity of University processes and institutional standards
• Serve as the public face of the University, representing the institution to external stakeholders and the global higher education community

Required Qualifications

• PhD qualification with professorial status in a relevant discipline aligned with the University's mandate
• Extensive research experience and distinguished international scholarly reputation
• Unblemished character and high degree of personal integrity
• Demonstrated creativity in vision and strategic thinking
• Mature and sober judgment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong team player mentality
• Business acumen and administrative expertise
