## Title: Finance & Accounts Manager

About The Bible Society of Ghana

The Bible Society of Ghana is seeking a Finance & Accounts Manager to join our organization in Accra.

Job Purpose

To formulate and implement an effective organizational financial strategy and action plan that drives the Bible Society of Ghana's strategic plan within an accountability-based culture. This role requires establishing finance and accounting systems and processes necessary to deliver set organizational goals.

Position Overview

As Finance & Accounts Manager, you will serve as a key financial leader, advising senior management and ensuring robust financial governance across all organizational operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise the General Secretary on financial matters including treasury and investment management, credit control, and debt management
  • Develop and review financial and accounting policies for approval, and design and implement accounting and internal control systems
  • Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Liaise with external auditors on all statutory audits
  • Prepare and publish periodic sets of accounts and present findings to the business committee and the BSG council
  • Manage the Society's accounts, including preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate preparation of annual budgets for the BSG, monitor implementation, and prepare periodic variance reports
  • Manage issues relating to tax and other statutory deductions, including Social Security Fund contributions
  • Manage financial operations and reporting on projects and programs of the society

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant with membership in a recognized professional accountancy body
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience at management level in Finance or Accounting
  • Good understanding of financial and accounting principles, systems, and techniques
  • Knowledge of the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992)
