Technical Agent at Maersk

About the Role

Maersk Ghana is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Technical Agent to join our team in Tema. In this position, you will ensure optimal management of all logistical resources while executing operations within contractual deadlines efficiently and in compliance with APM Terminal security standards.

You will serve as the main coordinator for physical operations execution within the fleet department and oversee documentation preparation for billing purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review operational planning and available equipment
• Coordinate with CX/Depot/OCL teams to obtain necessary files
• Organize and assign drivers to different operations
• Monitor and maintain constant communication with drivers to ensure smooth operations
• Address operational challenges promptly and minimize downtime
• Anticipate potential operational challenges to reduce impact
• Minimize idle time for fleet vehicles
• Prepare all data required for billing
• Maintain proper documentation archive
• Report any incidents occurring during shifts
• Establish and share shift activity reports and feedback with the fleet supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Shipping, Transport, or Logistics
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, transport, or logistics
• Knowledge of road transportation operations
• Conversational English and fluency in French
