Job Purpose
Under the direction and guidance of the Chief Manager, provide professional support for the provision and effective management of service delivery in the procurement unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate procurement policies, procedures, and routines in the respective unit
- Support the preparation of the NDPC's annual budget by providing appropriate inputs
- Manage the day-to-day operations for the effective functioning of the unit
- Prepare periodic reports on all activities and projects related to the procurement unit
- Support the provision of services and facilities necessary to support NDPC operations
- Ensure staff appraisals are carried out in a timely manner
- Contribute to the preparation of supply lists and other products needed to replenish stores on a periodic basis
- Assist in receiving and inspecting orders, and resolve order problems with vendors and departments according to stores policies and procedures
- Support the management of stores and asset disposals in accordance with laid-down procedures and regulations
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Manager or Director
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's Degree in HR, Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution
- Minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification working experience
- Membership of a recognized and relevant professional body
- Successful completion of a competitive selection interview conducted by the Public Services Commission in consultation with the Commission
