Senior Manager Finance at KPMG Ghana

Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Finance will provide comprehensive financial management services to the organisation, ensuring financial targets are achieved and overseeing flawless delivery of Finance operations. This includes accounting, budgeting, internal and statutory reporting, tax elements, and cost management.

The role holder will implement and drive strong financial discipline and controls, ensuring the organisation is well managed and its funding complies with relevant regulations. They will coordinate the planning cycle, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure adequate financial information is provided to the Ministry of Finance, Parliament, and relevant funding agencies. The role requires strict compliance with the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) relating to funding support for capital expenditure and working capital.

Key Accountabilities

Management Information & Reporting

• Ensure maintenance of financial records in accordance with fiscal, accounting, and best standard practices
• Prepare and manage periodic financial reporting, forecasting, and variance explanations
• Anticipate potential sources of impact on business targets and proactively define response and action plans in coordination with the Director, Finance and other organisational Directors

Financial Control, Management, and Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all financial, regulatory, and accounting requirements including reporting obligations
• Review all balances and ensure adequate reconciliations are completed and available
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls in liaison with Management and the internal audit unit
• Supervise and oversee the generation of annual budgets
