Senior Lead, Governance and Compliance at MTN

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Lead, Governance and Compliance to join our Enterprise Information Security and IT Governance department. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive support on all IT Governance, Compliance, and risk control functions in alignment with requisite frameworks while minimizing operational disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the performance of risk assessments to understand the level, significance, and scope of risks
• Stay current with and understand relevant laws and regulations
• Develop and advise on IT governance documentation including policies, processes, procedures, standards, and training materials
• Lead the monitoring of IT compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Ensure all Audit and Risk findings are recorded and followed up with management for issue rectification
• Coordinate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) activities across the IT Division and liaise with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team
• Maintain the IT Risk Register
• Support the Manager in liaising with Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance, and Corporate Compliance Regulatory functions
• Perform general administrative duties including tracker creation and maintenance of ongoing documentation
