Risk and Compliance Manager at Odotobri Rural Bank Ltd

About the Position

Odotobri Rural Bank PLC, located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, is seeking a Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, except on matters relating to AML/CFT.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify all risks across the organization, monitor compliance, and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented
• Set appropriate tolerance levels for identified risks and monitor ongoing compliance
• Establish and maintain measures to prevent or mitigate identified risks
• Vet and collate cash and suspicious transactions that fall within Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) thresholds and submit reports to FIC
• Organize compliance training for Directors and staff at least once annually
• Develop and maintain the Bank's AML/CFT Compliance Programme and serve as the AML/CFT reporting officer
• Supervise monthly AML reports submitted to Bank of Ghana
• Liaise with the internal audit department to investigate suspicious AML/CFT transactions
• Ensure compliance and follow-up on all examination concerns and their implementation

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or acceptable professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACIB, or CIMA
• Master's Degree in a related field (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar position in the rural banking industry
