About Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU)
Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) was established by an Act of Parliament in 2016 (Act 922), as amended in 2018 (Act 974). The University is a public-funded institution and a pioneer in renewable energy education among the Technical Universities in Ghana.
Vision & Mission
Vision: To be a leading technologically innovative and entrepreneurial Technical University with a reputation in green and clean energy technologies.
Mission: To provide quality technical, vocational, and entrepreneurial education that inspires learners to be creative and driven towards technological-based and sustainable solutions for communities and industries within the country and the sub-region.
Institution Overview
The University operates across six schools:
- School of Engineering
- School of Applied Sciences and Technology
- School of Applied Arts
- School of Built and Natural Environment
- School of Business and Management Studies
- School of Graduate Studies
CCTU offers Tertiary programmes (4-year B. Tech., B. Tech. Top-up, and HND) and Non-Tertiary programmes (Diploma and Professional programmes). Teaching and training are delivered through three flexible modules: regular, weekend, and evening sessions.
The University currently serves over 4,000 students with a staff strength of 436.
Position: Registrar
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, reporting to the Vice-Chancellor
- Coordinate administrative functions across the institution
