About the Organization
Water Resources Commission of Ghana is a reputable public service organization inviting applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians to fill vacant positions in the Head Office and its basin offices.
Job Purpose
To provide technical and operational support for the effective and efficient performance of the policy, planning, research, monitoring, and evaluation functions of the commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect data for the formulation of policies
- Facilitate the preparation of the strategic plan of the commission
- Monitor the programmes and activities of the commission
- Implement the programmes and activities of the Directorate
- Provide inputs for development of guidelines and strategies for the conduct of research, monitoring, and evaluation activities
- Collate data for the preparation and production of fact sheets, policy briefs, research findings, reports, and peer-reviewed articles
- Provide inputs for the development of concept notes and research proposals
- Participate in the conduct of research for the commission
- Collate data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the Directorate
- Facilitate the preparation of annual and periodic reports of the commission
- Collate data for the preparation of the annual budget and work plan of the Directorate
- Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff
Qualifications Required
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydrology, or any other related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution
- Membership in a relevant and recognised professional body (e.g., GhIE, Geosciences)
- Minimum of 1 year post-Bachelor's Degree relevant work experience
