Position Overview
Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Ghana Program)
Location: Tamale, Northern Region, with extensive field travel required
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Country Programme Manager
Overall Aim
Work closely with the Country Program Manager to support project leaders in designing and implementing M&E plans and tools, conducting effective and efficient data collection, and monitoring project achievements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Objectives
- Implement a participatory monitoring and evaluation system
- Plan and schedule all data collection activities across the Ghana programme
- Train and support project and technical staff in monitoring and experience sharing
- Conduct reality checks on data analysis and results
- Support project managers in compiling internal and external reports, including KPIs and logframe indicators
- Organize joint monitoring field missions and maintain updated activity planning aligned with project design and country program strategy
- Conduct necessary research studies to support TREE AID programme improvement and advocacy needs
Main Responsibilities
- Implement participatory monitoring and evaluation systems and train technical support staff
- Design and manage M&E frameworks and monitoring tools
- Oversee data collection activities and quality assurance
- Conduct field monitoring missions and provide technical guidance to project teams
- Analyze monitoring data and prepare reports on programme progress
- Support evidence-based decision making through timely and accurate reporting
