Position Overview

SDDUBIDS invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill Lecturer positions across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and curriculum development
• Research, technology adaptation, and innovation
• Publication of academic work
• Setting, administering, and marking assignments and examination questions
• Invigilation of examinations
• Supervision of student project work, dissertations, and theses
• Academic counseling for students
• Supervision of student internships and industry visits
• Mentoring of junior colleagues
• Departmental administration and support
• Extension work and service to the university and nation
• Other duties as assigned by the Vice-Chancellor or representative

Required Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field of specialization
• Appreciable industrial experience or skill in Competency-Based Training (CBT)

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or three publications in the relevant field
• Membership of a recognized professional body
