About the Position

The Department of Plant and Environmental Biology under the School of Biological Sciences, University of Ghana invites applications from qualified professionals for a full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position in Plant Genetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Plant Genetics and other Basic Plant Science courses
• Conduct state-of-the-art research in plant genetics
• Contribute to the development of the Plant Anatomy programme
• Pursue research grants and funding opportunities
• Work collaboratively within the department and broader academic community

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Plant Science or related disciplines
• PhD in Plant Genetics with expertise in Classical Genetics
• Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment
• Teaching ability in basic plant science courses
• Not exceeding 45 years of age
