IT Officer at Reputable Company

Job Purpose

To provide operational support in IT for the achievement of the organization's mandate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the collection of data for the development of work plans for the unit
• Facilitate the development of appropriate platforms, systems, and software for various departments and units of the organization
• Develop and maintain IT infrastructure for the organization
• Supervise the installation and servicing of IT equipment
• Undertake the maintenance and repair of IT equipment
• Maintain the organization's database
• Collate data for the development of procedures, processes, standards, and guidelines for effective management and delivery of IT services
• Supervise the collection of data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the unit
• Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff in the unit
• Facilitate the implementation of IT policies of the organization

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited tertiary institution
• Minimum of 1 year of post-qualification relevant work experience in a reputable organization
• Membership of a relevant professional body (advantageous)
• Must pass a competitive selection interview

• Good knowledge of programming and web applications
• Good knowledge of project management
• Good knowledge of qualitative, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
