Hydraulic Mining Shovel Mechanics at Mantrac Ghana LTD

About the Role

Mantrac Ghana LTD is seeking to recruit Hydraulic Mining Shovel Mechanics for our operations in Accra, Ghana. This is a full-time engineering position in the heavy equipment maintenance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair hydraulic mining shovels and earth moving heavy equipment
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic work on complex machinery
• Read, understand, and interpret technical literature and service manuals
• Work in field service environments with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum MVT/MET Part 1 certification
• Minimum 3 years hands-on post-qualification experience in earth moving heavy equipment or drill rigs
• Valid Ghanaian driver's license (Class BE)
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret technical literature
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding and usage of CAT SIS and Electronic Technician (ET) software
• Experience in Caterpillar Field Service (advantageous)

Additional Requirements

• Prepared to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Capable of working in noisy and dirty environments
• Able to work independently with little or no supervision
• Excellent reading and writing skills
