Head of Technical and Operations (HTOSD) at PWC

Role Summary

Reporting to the Chief Technical and Operations Officer (CTOO), the Head of Technical and Operations is responsible for managing the execution of the Technical & Operations Department's (TOSD) core functions, including delivery, portfolio monitoring, innovation integration, and market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the CTOO in policy advisory and sector reform initiatives related to mining operations and value addition
• Lead and review technical, geological, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Supervise the production of market analysis, commodity reports, and sector intelligence to support investment decision-making
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, sustainable mining practices, and digital solutions relevant to the organizational portfolio

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, mining operations, technical consulting, or mineral investment roles
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Professional certification such as PMP, Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent qualification
