About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial planning and analysis activities
• Forecast future financial performance and identify trends
• Recommend changes to policies and procedures to improve financial performance
• Prepare and analyze budgets
• Track, report, and analyze budget variances
• Prepare and review the company's financial statements to ensure accuracy
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management
• Ensure compliance with relevant government and industry regulations

Key Relationships

• Reports to the Managing Director
• Oversees the Finance Department
• Supports managers and staff across functional units to ensure efficiency in systems and procedures
• Plans and leads transactional engagements with key external parties in finance, banking, and operational functions

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant
• Extensive experience managing finance teams
• Proven expertise in preparing and analyzing financial reports
• Demonstrated success in budget preparation, variance analysis, revenue management, and capital expenditure planning
• Strong experience improving financial tools and systems

Desired Qualifications

• MBA or related post-graduate qualification

Technical Skills

• Proficient in MS Excel and financial software
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting tools
• Deep knowledge of relevant statutory laws and regulations
