About Our Operations

Newmont's Africa Operations manages two gold mining operations in Ghana:

• Ahafo Mine located in the Brong-Ahafo region
• Akyem Mine located in the Eastern region

The operations also maintain near-mine exploration and development focus in Ghana to annually replace gold reserves, along with early-stage exploration programs in Ethiopia and Morocco.

Africa operations employ approximately 5,900 employees and contractors, with the majority working at the Ahafo Mine. Both the Akyem and Ahafo mines have made significant sustainable community development investments, including establishing Development Funds where each mine contributes US$1 per ounce of gold sold and 1% of net pre-tax annual profit into community development initiatives.

About This Role

As an Engineer III, you will perform a variety of engineering duties in the development, modification, or adaptation of established systems, processes, and projects.
