District Coordinators – Business Development Officers at Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA)

Job Purpose

The District Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of interventions to promote Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at the district level.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall implementation of GEA projects and programmes at the district level
• Assist MSMEs with completing application forms accurately and ensure all prerequisite documents are provided
• Register MSMEs at the district level to build GEA's clientele and maintain a database of all registered MSMEs for future programme implementation
• Conduct thorough due diligence and diagnostic reviews on MSMEs, validating business type, location, and other relevant applicant details
• Ensure GEA projects and programmes reach beneficiaries on a regular basis
• Assist MSMEs with organizing, compiling, and tracking their financial records
• Coordinate capacity building activities for target groups at the district level
• Coordinate the implementation of interventions that promote MSME access to markets, grants, and credit
• Assist MSMEs with registration and certificate acquisition from relevant regulatory bodies
• Identify appropriate e-commerce and social media platforms, set up accounts based on business requirements, and monitor MSME activities to ensure active engagement
• Provide business counselling services and conduct needs assessments through surveys and interviews to understand MSME requirements
• Conduct surveys and interviews at the district level to identify business training needs
• Perform additional assignments as directed by management
