Director of Works and Physical Development at Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU)

About the Position

Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) invites applications from hardworking, resourceful, and visionary professionals for the position of Director of Works and Physical Development. This is a full-time executive role responsible for overseeing all physical infrastructure, construction projects, and campus development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all works and contracts to ensure construction and renovations meet prevailing industry standards and specifications
• Oversee the management of construction contracts to ensure compliance and timely project delivery
• Advise on procurement of consultancy services for technical construction guidance in compliance with national laws and regulations
• Manage and maintain all university buildings, roads, drains, parks, and gardens, including their designs and drawings
• Advise on the management and control of land use across the campus
• Provide guidance to the Vice-Chancellor and University Council on matters of land and development
• Provide architectural and engineering designs and bills of quantities for all university construction projects
• Perform additional official functions as assigned by the University Registrar

Terms of Appointment

• Initial term of four (4) years
• Renewable for an additional term upon application and subject to performance evaluation, provided the appointee has not reached the statutory retirement age of 60 years
• Terms and conditions determined by the Governing Council of the University consistent with the Technical Universities Act 2016 (Act 922) as amended and the Statutes of Cape Coast Technical University
