About the Role

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill a vacancy in the post of Deputy Director of Services and Customer Experience in the Parliamentary Service of Ghana. The Deputy Director will provide support to the Clerk to Parliament and management of the service through the Director of Nutrition and Catering Services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of quality and hygienic meals and beverages to members of Parliament, staff, and official guests
• Oversee the presentation and serving of food under hygienic conditions which comply with food safety and health requirements
• Provide technical support in implementing diverse, nutritious, and cost-effective menus tailored to the preferences and dietary needs of members and staff, while ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation
• Assist in coordinating catering and hospitality services for official events, receptions, and functions hosted by Parliament to ensure a seamless and professional experience
• Ensure that staff of the unit maintain high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and hygiene during food service
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Clerk to Parliament

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A good first degree in Culinary Arts, Catering Management, or a relevant subject from a recognized university
• A minimum of 9 years of post-qualification experience in nutrition and food production
• A master's degree in a relevant subject
• At least 3 years of experience in a position analogous to Assistant Director I in a public service institution
