Credit and Marketing Manager at Ada Rural Bank PLC

About the Role

Ada Rural Bank PLC seeks to employ a suitably qualified Credit and Marketing Manager to join our organization. This is a full-time position reporting to the CEO.

The Credit and Marketing Manager will be responsible for monitoring the health of the bank's loans and advances portfolio through the implementation of robust credit management and administration functions throughout the bank. Additionally, the successful candidate will serve as the direct supervisor of the marketing officer, overseeing the implementation of the Marketing Plan and Corporate Branding activities of the Bank.

Core Responsibilities

• Serve as a Technical Advisor to the Management Credit Committee
• Provide ongoing credit management training to staff
• Manage relations with credit reporting agencies and credit insurance providers
• Recommend changes in credit policy to senior management
• Collect, register, maintain custody of, monitor, and submit regulatory reports on all collaterals
• Lead the processing, approval, and disbursement of all loans, overdrafts, and other advances according to board-approved limits and processes
• Lead loans and advances recovery activities
• Prepare and submit prudential or statutory reports
• Present periodic portfolio reports to management and board
• Manage and supervise the marketing officer to deliver marketing activities and brand visibility

Qualifications & Experience Required

• First Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or related field
• 5 years of experience in credit appraisal, monitoring, and recovery
• Master's Degree or full/part professional qualification in Banking or related fields (e.g., ACIB, CICM, CIMG) is an added advantage
