About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Chemistry and Biology Teacher to join our team at GIU International Christian Academy. In this role, you will develop and deliver engaging science lessons while fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and implement the curriculum by developing schedules, lesson plans, and teaching methods that ensure students master required content
• Prepare and deliver stimulating, clear lessons that engage students effectively
• Educate students on laboratory safety and ensure all experiments are conducted responsibly
• Design and administer tests, assignments, and experiments with fair and consistent grading
• Provide appropriate resources and consultation time to support student learning
• Mentor and encourage students in their academic progress
• Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, workshops, and continuing education programs
• Prepare and guide students for science fairs and expos
• Manage administrative responsibilities, including updating student records and maintaining inventory of lab supplies, tools, and equipment
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and conducive classroom environment for optimal learning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at A Level or equivalent
