Vice Rector, Mental Health Nursing at Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives

Job Purpose

To assist the Rector in performing leadership functions and oversee academic and administrative activities of the Mental Health Nursing Division to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Job Summary

The Vice Rector will assist the Rector to perform leadership functions and oversee the day-to-day running of the academic and administrative activities of the Mental Health Nursing Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in developing and implementing administrative and academic policies of the Mental Health Nursing Division
• Supervise and coordinate operational activities in the division
• Provide exemplary leadership for the achievement of the division's objectives
• Ensure the maintenance and sustenance of academic and professional standards
• Provide direction on academic, research, and operational policies of the division
• Ensure the development of the capabilities, skills, and knowledge of staff within the division
• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned by the Rector

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in mental health nursing or an equivalent discipline
• Professional qualification as a mental health nurse or equivalent professional discipline
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in public service, of which at least 7 years have been acquired at a senior management level
• Fellowship of GCNM
• Proficiency with a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
