Vice Rector, Mental Health Nursing at Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives

About the Position

Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives seeks to invite applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacancy of Vice Rector, Mental Health Nursing.

Job Purpose

To assist the Rector in performing leadership functions and oversee academic and administrative activities of the Mental Health Nursing Division to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Rector to perform leadership functions and oversee the day-to-day running of the academic and administrative activities of the Mental Health Nursing Division
• Lead in developing and implementing administrative and academic policies of the Mental Health Nursing Division
• Supervise and coordinate operational activities in the division
• Provide exemplary leadership for the achievement of the objectives of the division
• Ensure the maintenance and sustenance of academic and professional standards
• Provide direction on academic, research and operational policies of the division
• Ensure the development of the capabilities, skills and knowledge of staff in the division
• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned by the Rector

Qualifications Required

• Master's degree in mental health nursing or an equivalent discipline
• Professional mental health nurse or equivalent professional discipline
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in public service, of which 7 years have been acquired at a senior management level
• Fellow of GCNM
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
