Position Overview

The Governing Council of CAUC invites applications from qualified and competent persons for the position of Vice President.

The Vice President serves under the direction of the University Council as the Academic and Administrative head, as well as the Chief Disciplinary Officer of the University College. The Vice President is responsible for maintaining and promoting the good order and efficiency of the institution. Additional functions are prescribed by the Statutes of the University College and are directed by the President.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Academic and Administrative head of the University College
• Function as Chief Disciplinary Officer
• Maintain and promote the good order and efficiency of the institution
• Provide strong, visionary leadership and innovation
• Foster and promote good internal and external relations
• Project effectively the image of the University College nationally and internationally

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Professorial rank or Senior Lecturer with PhD
• Extensive research experience
• Extensive administrative leadership experience
• Experience in university governance
• Individual of stature and integrity with exemplary leadership qualities
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Clear understanding and appreciation of challenges facing private tertiary education in Ghana
• Demonstrated ability to provide visionary leadership and innovation
• Zeal and energy to advance the University College's mission and vision
• Commitment to Christian principles and high moral values
