Vice Dean (Academic Division) at National College of Defence Studies

About the Position

National College of Defence Studies is seeking to recruit a Vice Dean for the Academic Division. This is a full-time leadership role responsible for coordinating academic operations and strategic initiatives within the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Military Division and organize common courses
• Coordinate the work of the academic division within the college
• Position the Academic Division within the College's academic policy framework
• Position the academic division within the core business of NCDS regarding research, teaching, learning, and community engagement
• Work with the Dean to develop strategic plans for research, teaching, learning, and community engagement initiatives, and monitor their implementation
• Collaborate with the Dean to develop performance review processes for academic division members aligned with strategic goals
• Work with the Dean to develop annual budgets and manage finances related to research grants, consultancy, and extension services
• Assist in marketing the Academic Division nationally and internationally
• Ensure the well-being of staff and program participants
