Job Summary
The successful candidate will join AirtelTigo Business Department as a Strategic Account Manager for the Public Sector. Reporting to the Sales Manager for Public Sector, you will safeguard and grow revenue from allocated public sector accounts nationally through account planning, opportunity management, and relationship building. You will meet annual targets for sales, revenues, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide account data to the Sales Manager for developing sales plans and monitoring their implementation
- Lead and participate in virtual account teams to meet profitability and revenue targets
- Develop contact strategies and account development plans (ADP) for each allocated account
- Build a pipeline of qualified prospects and manage decision-making processes within allocated accounts to ensure sales closure
- Exercise thought leadership at Board level within the Public Sector and allocated accounts
- Demonstrate understanding of customer business strategies and communicate service dependencies
- Present compelling value propositions of AirtelTigo Business solutions
- Identify sales training and development needs and manage skills enhancement for yourself and the virtual account team
- Ensure integrated channel management supported by appropriate systems such as CRM, using knowledge management to enhance account management professionalism
- Integrate quality management processes within all sales activities for allocated accounts, ensuring effective daily deployment
- Use relevant metrics and measures to routinely monitor progress against targets and take appropriate corrective action
