Staff Writer – Graphic Business at Graphic Communications Group LTD

About the Role

Graphic Communications Group LTD is seeking a Staff Writer for our Graphic Business division. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for producing high-quality business journalism for both our online portal and print newspaper, with a focus on finance, insurance, banking, and economic news.

Key Responsibilities

• Report on business-related events and activities nationwide for online and print publications
• Conduct in-depth analysis on issues related to finance, insurance, business, and banking
• Conduct interviews on selected business news stories
• Edit and proofread business stories prior to submission
• Report on stock exchange activities, money market developments, and general economic news
• Collaborate with team members on special stories and investigations as required
• Mentor junior staff and interns to develop their professional reporting skills

Required Qualifications

One of the following:

• First Degree in Communication, Journalism Studies, or related field with 4+ years of working experience in business reporting, OR
• Diploma in Journalism from a reputable institution with 5+ years of working experience in business reporting
• Membership with the Ghana Journalists Association

• Strong computer literacy, including page planning software
