GRATIS Foundation, an agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI), is inviting suitable and qualified Ghanaians to apply for the position of Senior Technician.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication work in the workshop
• Operate fabrication equipment including Guillotine, rolling, folding and bending machines, lathe, grinding, milling, and drilling equipment
• Operate a variety of machines in the workshop
• Interpret and utilize engineering drawings for equipment fabrication
• Undertake routine maintenance of workshop equipment

Qualifications & Experience Required

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a related field
• HND in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• Mechanical Engineering Craft Practice (MECP) Part 1, or Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET) Part 1, or National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) Trade Test Grade 1, with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience
• GRATIS-trained technicians holding a GRATIS-Ghana Education Service/Technical Examinations Unit craft certificate with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
